    Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Louis King adventure classic, TYPHOON (1940) starring Dorothy Lamour, Robert Preston, and Lynne Overman. This is the exciting story of two men (Preston and Overman) searching for black pearls, who get marooned on an island when their crew mutinies. There they meet a beautiful girl (Lamour) who was washed up on the island in her childhood. They must fight angry natives and a typhoon in order to survive. The spectacular fire and subsequent tidal wave in the last 10 minutes garnered the film an Academy Award nomination for Best Special Effects. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very good plus condition with some restoration at fold lines and repairs of missing chips. Linen backing has been trimmed to poster dimensions.
