The movie is MGM'S biographical film about Pierre and Marie Curie, the discoverers of radium, and it starred Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon. The insert features two nice illustration profiles of the two MGM stars. MADAME CURIE was a prestige production for the studio and both Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon were nominated for Academy Awards. The two stars appeared in eight films together, including the much honored MRS. MINIVER. MADAME CURIE film was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars and the movie was quite profitable for MGM.
