Our Story- Living the Life
SHORT AND SWEET - 2011 started making candles in my kitchen - Why?? Because I am a candle addict and hated paying for candles that did not burn properly or only smelled great for the first half of the candle.
Started selling them on eBay, then expanded to Etsy, Bonanza, Amazon, and Walmart. Finally made enough money to quit my job at an engineering company that I had worked at for over 10 years... Scary step but I wanted to do my own thing, instead of punching a time-clock.
In 2017 I brought in my oldest daughter Nichole to help, this year my youngest daughter Paige joined us on this adventure.
MISCONCEPTION of Mels Candles - I do not own a huge Candle Company- Yes our products are all over the e-commerce world - but we are NOT Large at all and our candles are literally handmade in a tea pitcher 9 at a time. This is how we roll. No fancy equipment, no CEO’s, No large production area. Just our little hands joined together to create unique products that we hope you enjoy and make you smile.
